TLIID 89: Spider Jerusalem with Superman powers by AxelMedellin TLIID 89: Spider Jerusalem with Superman powers by AxelMedellin
This week in The Line it is Drawn, the theme is power swap... or what if a character had another one's power... I chose Spider Jerusalem because he's one of my all-time favorite characters. And it's political time, he puts me just in the mood. I think I'm re-reading all Transmetropolitan for the fifth time.

Full gallery here, some mighty pieces there:

Have a nice weekend, folks.

Of course there is, he's the protagonist of one of the best comic book series ever, Warren Ellis' Transmetropolitan.

If you like science fiction and politics, you can't go wrong with it.

Actually I think putting two dozen senators in orbit to die gasping and choking as their blood boils out of their eyes could only be an improvement for America.

Totally agree. I wish they had moved ahead with Patrick Stewart playing him.

Hahaha, I just finished my semi-annual re-reading of Transmetropolitan last week. I feel like it just gets more and more relevant as technology advances.

I fear what Super Spider would do to the world's dog population, though...

I especially love the way you've drawn his filthy assistants, their personalities really come across well!

You know Transmet is one of those things that I've never read, but have been meaning to. Maybe I'll dig up a copy at my LCS this weekend.
Even without proper knowledge of the source, this is pretty damn funny!

Thanks!

You should start with volume 1, of course, but you can't really get the full scope of the story till you read volume 2... that one contains some of the wildest and funniest ideas I've ever read.
