Wood robot 2 by AxelMedellin Wood robot 2 by AxelMedellin
Ok, enough experiments for a while, let's back to the normal stuff...

I'm not sure this translates as a single animal... I screwed the proportions, so it's not quite dog or panther... but I tried to make it look functional. This is a pretty recent drawing, I hope the technique is better than the last woodbot...

It's simply fantastic:
the way you made the gears and the mechanical parts and how you gave them the shape of... that animal graceful and strong at the same time.

Very steampunk. Looks like it'd fit in World of Warcraft, though if it was there everything'd be metal.

This is another amazing piece by you. I think I'm really starting to like your work...
The piece gives some amazing details with the pistons, springs and gears that most other artists usually would cover up and only say were there. Good Job. Mind if I fave?

:+fav: That is quite awesome. :D I love the wood effect--not only it is well-executed and makes for eye-pleasing, unexpected textures, but it's also unusual and thus more original than metal.

LOL; don't worry, I didn't print any copies of it out or anything, and I only showed it to them that once. ^^; I was just so impressed with it that I thought it'd be an inspiring example for them. They did think it was very cool.

LOL; okay, phew, I was afraid you were mad that I didn't ask first. ^^; My students really love anime; they can discuss the japanese manga-ka and seiyuu that made particular animes by name, pronouncing them better than most people at cons do, and have characters and stories and animes' premises all memorized....and I don't even teach any of that stuff in the class, just the drawing! :giggle:
