Girls and boys, it's that time of the year again.
My first Comic-Con was in 1999. It was half the size, a fourth of the attendance, and with way more comics and way less movies. It was the first time I ventured by myself to a foreign country. It was scary, overwhelming and soul-crushing.
It was love at first sight.
So, this will be my 17th Comic-Con in a row. Of course it will be bigger than ever, sweatier than ever, more crowded than ever. Hall H is a distant legend I hear the ancients whisper about, and at my old age I'm very prone to calculating extra weight on the plane before buying that hidden wonder winking at me from that wonderful booth. Scarier, more overwhelming, soul-disintegrating.
It's an ongoing love affair.
This time, once again, I'll have my home base at the Comicraft/Elephantmen booth, #2106 in the Small Press red-carpeted area, just in front of the huge DC booth. I'm still not aware of the signing schedule (hopefully there will be one), but that's the safest bet to find yours truly, should anyone be interested in a fine comic, a nice sketch or a friendly chat. If you mention my DA page, you get a free sketch!
As a bonus this year, you can find me from Thursday to Saturday, from 6 to 7 PM at the Heavy Metal booth, #1529, signing that #275 issue I probably mentioned before, and that special Spanish version called Metal Pesado #1.
So... see you on the other side.
Have a great con!

Elephantmen season 3, issue 4, out in the world!
Well, I'm just realizing it's been about a year, give or take a week, since I last updated the journal. Me from a year ago was blissfully unaware of the future... lucky him. But we are getting by as well as can be expected, I hope all of you are making the best of this... let's say challenging year. Well, comics are still going by, and yours truly still making some. The fourth issue of the third season of Elephantmen on Comixology is out today. Richard Starkings writing, yours truly arting. I've been more than ten years drawing this merry band, and still going strong. So, if you want to take a look: https://www.comixology.com/Elephantmen-2261-Season-Three-comiXology-Originals-4-of-5-Theo-Laroux-Meets-The-Elephantmen/digital-comic/863124?ref=cGFnZS92aWV3L2Rlc2t0b3AvZ3JpZExpc3QvbGlzdDM0Nzc5 Other than that, well, drawing a lot this october, trying to advance on the way to the Masters' degree, and being grateful for the good things. Stay safe, folks.

Elephantmen 100 and Megadeth: Death by Design
Girls and boys, when it rains, it pours.
A little house cleaning first: it was a GOOD Comic-Con. Not the best, but surprisingly stress-free. It seems seeds are planted, at least we keep working. Thanks to you fine folks that commissioned art... I didn't have to do the usual instant-ramen aftermonth this time.
A couple of things I was really looking forward to got off the rails, or at least delayed some months, but, well, time to re-group and keep on rolling.
And today, we have to landmark issues out:
First, the 100th Elephantmen issue, the conclusion to "The Pentalion Job", our second season at Comixology. Giant robots, sexy robots, lots
