Well, I'm just realizing it's been about a year, give or take a week, since I last updated the journal. Me from a year ago was blissfully unaware of the future... lucky him.

But we are getting by as well as can be expected, I hope all of you are making the best of this... let's say challenging year.

Well, comics are still going by, and yours truly still making some. The fourth issue of the third season of Elephantmen on Comixology is out today. Richard Starkings writing, yours truly arting. I've been more than ten years drawing this merry band, and still going strong. So, if you want to take a look: https://www.comixology.com/Elephantmen-2261-Season-Three-comiXology-Originals-4-of-5-Theo-Laroux-Meets-The-Elephantmen/digital-comic/863124?ref=cGFnZS92aWV3L2Rlc2t0b3AvZ3JpZExpc3QvbGlzdDM0Nzc5

Other than that, well, drawing a lot this october, trying to advance on the way to the Masters' degree, and being grateful for the good things. Stay safe, folks.

Girls and boys, when it rains, it pours.

A little house cleaning first: it was a GOOD Comic-Con. Not the best, but surprisingly stress-free. It seems seeds are planted, at least we keep working. Thanks to you fine folks that commissioned art... I didn't have to do the usual instant-ramen aftermonth this time.

A couple of things I was really looking forward to got off the rails, or at least delayed some months, but, well, time to re-group and keep on rolling.

And today, we have to landmark issues out:

First, the 100th Elephantmen issue, the conclusion to "The Pentalion Job", our second season at Comixology. Giant robots, sexy robots, lots of punches and conspiracies. You can preview it here:

Second, the Megadeth book. It's BIG. It's HEAVY. It has four, count them, FOUR vinyl LP's included (At least the deluxe edition, I don't know about the regular one). We did a nice signing at the Heavy Metal booth to close the convention. It's one of the better looking, highest quality projects I've been a part of. And you can preview it here:

I'll try to write a bit more often here, and post more process art and stuff. BTW, I have an Instagram account. It's been there for some time, but I've finally been updating it. You can find me there as axel_med

For the 21st time...

We’ll be there all week at the Comicraft booth #2106 (I’m guessing mostly from noon to four and near the time of closing, but I never stray for too long, anyway).

On Sunday, I’ll be from 2 to 4 at the Heavy Metal booth #1529, signing the new Megadeth book. And yes, they will be there.

So... see you  on the other side.
